Artist's Description

Cape Flattery Lighthouse was built in 1854 on the Tatoosh Island. The Island was named after a Makah Tribe Chief. This is the first time we have been able to photograph the Lighthouse. It has always been hidden by fog on our previous visits.

I was reared in a small town in Indiana, where I developed a love of nature and photography. My main focus has been on macro photography. I love using my photography skills to preserve the beauty around us. The Northwest has brought many added opportunities. My photo of “Cape Flattery Noble” recently won 3rd place in the state wide art show held at Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton, WA. My husband, LeRoy (artist on FAA also) & I, have enjoyed combined efforts in photography & art since our marriage about 17 years ago. He paints from many of the photos we have taken together.
